15hrs OCCT stable

System Specs
PSU; Silverstone 1000W Olympia
CPU: Intel Q6600 G0 stepping @ 4.0Ghz
MB: DFI LP P35 t2R
Ram: 2X2GB DDR2 1000Mhz 5-5-5-15 2t
Video Card: 8800GTX 670/1200
HD: 2x 150GB raptors Raid 0
1x Samsung Spinpoint 500Gb

Water cooled with MCP 655 pump Swiftech Apogee block and Enzotech Sapphire NB block
triple 120 mm stealth Rad

Well Seem to be hitting a wall at 500MHZ dunno if memory just wont go over that. I have it at the lowest strap(333/667) so it is right at 1000Mhz and adding voltage or relaxing the settings dont seem to help is there anyway to get that memory any slower?... I can get the system to windows at 4.5Ghz but have to add more voltage than I am comfortable doing to get it benchmark stable... Just looking for any Ideas or if I should just be happy here... on the everest Benchmark quite in Memory Im coming in right between the two 8X xeon platforms... not too bad for a 270$ chip.

nice board & cpu scott! do you have to run 1066mhz DDR2 with that or could you still clock to 4ghz with ddr2800 and a different divider? about how to reach the 266 strap/divider, maybe a reverse BSEL mod?

i dunno

That is what im thinking I cant seem to get the memory to drop down slower than 1000Mhz since the FSB is so high... maybe im missing a setting or something.... dunno.. Oh to further explain my cooler here it is
http://www.frozencpu.com/produ...75.html?tl=g30c105s520

I have taken the cold plate off and the TEC out and just using the block.. getting pretty good results. but gonna order the Enzotech block to match the NB block and purchase a new 226w. pelt and rebuild the TEC.
here is the Enzo tech block
http://www.frozencpu.com/produ...ive.html?tl=g30c85s141

and here is the NB block i have
http://www.frozencpu.com/produ...ive.html?tl=g30c89s149

Also looking at the EK supreme water block
and curious if anyone knows if any EK chipset blocks work on this Motherboard??

And no one believes me when i say thats the hottest overclocking board you can buy for lga775.

Congrats my DFI LP LT X38-T2R should come sometime next week. Thats one hot board.

you should be happy with 500fsb. Dude i know a lot of people that have problems climbing past 450fsb as it is.

I like my LT P35-T2R. Running my Q6600 at 3.5GHZ with 8Gig RAM on Vista-64.

15 hours Prime stable at this speed with 1.4V. Still tweaking a bit, I'm dropping Vcore a bit to see if it will remain stable at that speed. Plus I want to lap my HS, it's a TRUE 120 and I think it's a little convex, and still a little loose (still has wiggle room after tightening the screws all the way).

Also this DFI mobo i found on newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16813136037 whats the difference between the two ? And which one should i get ? I will be using E8500 as my CPU.

the first one is a LP LT while the other is a UT.

The LT is a new revsion that has 2 x 16x and 1 x 4x or 1 1x

The UT i believe only has 1x16x and the other 2 can both do 4x or 1x

Yeah its kinda confusing.. but the board you want is the one from motherboardpro

Quad @500FSB.. That setup looks certainly future-proofed to me. Amazing achievement. Knowing DFI quality, the board will probably last long time to come.

Like the post says I have the Enzotech Sapphire NB waterblock ont he NB I have NB voltage at 1.87 with GTL is 115 and the temps under load fluctuate with the Water Temp rise since it is after the CPU in the loop but usually durning gaming and gereral use its at abotu 26c and under load it get a bit higher and at idle it is 23C

Now I have to start looking for that MB - I am convinced (wanted to dump my IP35_E anyway). Loved the DFI Socket 939 now will see how the 775 works
You just made up my mind
That is the overclock I was aiming for until the B3 arrived at my doorstep - knew I was in trouble

One question is that the blood iron or the next level up (Black version) - tired of the cheaper scaled down models

Neither, this is on the DFI LanParty UT P35 T2R.

1.87v will killl your nb in a matter of days/weeks.

1.45v is whitepage max for that chip.

Safely I would say 1.55v.

My board started to lose fsb/memspeed after clocking it to 1.70v for a few hours.

Oh the high end greenie. That looks real sweet. The mid range suits me since should have most of the features - already priced it

Got it ususally at the 1.57v area forgot to drop it down after trying to get the 4.5Ghz mark now its saved there in Loaded Cmos... thx for reminding me in a round about way.

You've got a killawat ? I'd LOVE to know how much your 4.0ghz qaud consumes under load and idle.

processor heat load @ 1.55Vcore ~ 300W

that how much his processor is dishing out in terms of heat.

This was messured at the evap head on a phase unit messured by a OC guru in XS.

He asked what board this was and it's the UT version. Why would the LT be better than the UT...

PCI-E 2 x 16x vs PCI-E 1 x 16x is the big one.

At the price of these boards, they better be decked out. Otherwise your better off going a cheaper board with near same overclock ability.

The UT was out b4 the LT. The LT kicks butt from what ive been investigating. Enough to make me want to buy one.
