Q6600 to 2500K for BF3?

Just to throw it out there. With my current setup i get 50 fps pretty stable. no lagg unless its the server. I was also considering upgrading my cpu. i was thinking a 960t compared tot he i3-2100 i was going to get. between the 2 i think the 960 would be better for bf3 as more cores proves to do better in that game.

So from the last few post is this pointing to a problem with the NV drivers and the 560ti combination or just a driver issue regardless of card?

The Gigabyte 560Ti OC turned out to be problematic with many 'victims' * but think it has been solved by the new BIOS (at least in my case), which supposedly provides a higher voltage to the chip.

As for other 560Ti's, I haven't done a whole lot of research but my feeling is that there aren't any widespread issues.

Don't know much about the 960t, but this might give you more insight into the 2100: i3 2100 for BF3 enough?

GPU usage: 99%, occasional dips to 97%
GPU memory usage: 910MB
FPS: 60 average (64 player Metro)

After moving to a Corsair 500R and 7970:



CPU peak: 46C
GPU peak: 75C (MSI Afterburner)
GPU usage: 99%
GPU memory usage: ?
FPS: 90-100 average (64 player Metro)
