Why don't any of you understand, we went through this with the single vs. dual core battle. Guess which choice was smarter?
At the time we had FX single cores up to 3GHz and duals only at 2.6GHz. I remember so many buying the single core because it offered better performance in games at the time, not you can't even play some games with a single core. This is the same decision as last time and the outcome will be the same too. Once Penryn takes over from the low to high end, Quad cores will be mainstream and Dual cores will move to the lower end and budget sector before '09. I'll bet on this if anyone wants to.
