Q9550 price drop is here!

Currently Newegg and Mwave have the Q9550 in stock for 339.99

Given a tray price of 316 per 1000, this is a bit of a price premium, but if this has been holding up your new build like it has for me, you might as well jump on it.

I guess this is better deal that q9450s which is just about 15 below but a 8.5x multiplier definitely make OC the chip a lot easier.

Its an ebay deal with MS live cashback but worked for me today. Ebay seller is Multiwave Video which is Mwave, has the Q9550 for $340.99 - $85.25 (25% Live Cashback) for a net of $255.74 plus shipping. Instructions for the Live cashback are here in the forums and elsewhere.

maybe 15% percent less performance then the QX9770 for 1/5 the price, yeah sound like a hella good deAL to me.

You really have to be stinking rich to buy a faster stock cpu, or some overclocker world record holder, course if your the record holder you probably got the cpu for free.

What is buy.com's ebay listing? Can't seem to find their ebay store or seller name.

Edit: found it as Buy's Internet Superstore and they seem to use a 3rd party checkout which makes them ineligible for the Live.com Cashback. :frown:

Buy.com makes you use their external site to enter paypal info, so you can't use the MS cashback unfortunately, there's no way around it. There are plenty of other sellers on ebay if you do use the cashback deal though.
