This is my preliminary OC - I have not tried to find the limits of the system.

I think more than one of us is betting you could bump up the VCORE to 1.37V to see how far it would go with that. That setting is so close to the recommended max that you should be "worry-free."

My own views are that you should try the Corsairs in a 1-to-1 ratio at the stock latencies for that sort of over-clock attempt, and then see how you might tighten tCL, tRCD. If you can get either reduced to 3 or just 4, the tRP can come down to 4 and I'm guessing tRAS would work at <= 8. Unfortunately, I've heard that the INtel chipset / BIOS won't allow for manual tightening of the bank-cycle-time, but there may be some sort of setting in there that does it for you.

There were a set of Corsair DDR2-800's that had default tCL/CAS = 3. I don't think it's important to exploit the full Mhz spec of your memory, if you can run slower Mhz and tighter timings.

Qx6600 G0 @ 3.20 Ghz. 8x400. 63'C stable overnight. Intel stock cooling on an ASUS Maximus Extreme.

Sorry about the low number - only got the computer together two days ago and was just fooling around on the second startup

Ran it on prime for 12 hours (overnight), and occt (1hr-auto). Both came out stable, no errors

Screenshot?
Better be 25.6 P95 you're running, not the single threaded old ones

That's more than real lucky, that's ridiculously lucky.

no offense, but that strong of an oc on a TUNIQ of all things really begs for a screenshot. That has to be one of the best all time, in fact very close to #1. I know that I've never read a post about that high of an oc on a tuniq with a quad, but I don't think I've ever even heard of somebody claiming to do that and be 12 hrs prime stable and/or 1hr occt stable. that's incredible!

Mine is Q6600 (g0) at 3GHz @ 1.1825v (1.125v load) air cooled using TRUE on GA-G33M-DS2R. The highest I can achieved is 3.42GHz @ 1.3625v in just 8hrs of prime95 but my temps is too high for me (62, 61, 58, 58) so I lowered it down to 3ghz

Yes, to be verifiably true to the most part, it would be great to see a screenshot of this OC on air and with ( my favorite ) The Tuniq. Be something wouldn't it?

G0, 3.0 gHz, 334x9, Ultra-120, EP35-DS3R.

I was running 3.6 gHz for a while @ 1.4 V, but idle temps were mid 40's, and I was hitting low 70's C on all cores in Prime 95, which I felt was a little high. Pulled back to 3.0 @ 1.23 V, load temps were better...

Switched to Arctic Silver Ceramique, adjusted some fans, new Rocketfish case, now my idle temps are 33-38C, loads 48-51C.

I'm thinking about jumping back up to 3.6 - would there be a huge noticeable difference between 3.0 and 3.6?
