Seems some people talk bad about ATi's dongle, calling it messy etc. Yet the quad SLI from Dell uses two external power adapters, but not one word. Pretty hypocritical, but thats common.
I dont know how these things are going to get frash air, the are very, very close together. Looks like the air exhausts towards the outside, which is good. The sound card also cuts off part of the bottom fan. Curious as to how hot these things run. Good thing its under warranty.

Nice try with the insult though. Feel free to try and compare your love life to mine, you would feel pretty bad though.

Because ATIs quad xfire is so much better.
It uses power adapters because it probably would take down any system if it didnt. I think considering its 4 cutting edge GPUs in one PC, its acceptable until ati does better.

It's a different situation, so there's no "hypocrisy" involved.
The Crossfire dongle competes against a "dongle-less" solution.
Quad SLI competes against nothing, it just totally and utterly dominates anything ATI can make. The fact that it requires two power bricks isn't shocking, I doubt many PSUs can feed four 7800GTXs and the rest of a PC.
Just another pointless post by Ackmed trying to point out imagined flaws in other posters reasoning instead of discussing the hardware.
It's sad when members lead threads off track with uinnecessary baiting.

What i was refering to is if i were involved in such a profession.
The next comment i just can not resist to make. (please dont find me insulting)
"so I am limited to playing his JumpStart, Finding Nemo, Lilo & Stitch and Dora the Explorer games with him, which I still enjoy because he enjoy's it very much."
I hope you enjoy playing those games on you quad Dell.

I doubt that Ackmed. Southpaw is one of the people here that I exchange PMs with.
You, by your own admission, are married and have a big belly.
Southpaw is a single college student scoring with cute girls from the looks of the .jpgs he's sent me.
I'd say "Advantage Southpaw" on that one big fella.

The only muit GPU rig i will ever get is multy core one. This sli and crossfire stuff is not really worth it unless you want extream high end. I think multy gpu core will be the next thing and the cores would be able to work together so much faster and cheaper.
No doubt. But 32x AA is absolutely mind blowing. Rollo posted a BF2 pic of the Gulf of Oman at the US spawn (for those who are familiar with the game) and you could barely see the jaggies in the background on the crane. 32x AA seems to be absolute end of all jaggies.

No. You saying you're all grown up and as a result would not buy such a system, implies that you are calling anyone who buys this system, childish. That in itself, is immature. If you can't afford it, or can afford it but just can't justify the expense, or if your finger is just about to hit the nuke button on Dell's site, it's all the same to me. You do what you want to do with your money and don't judge others for doing what they want to with their money. The rich can be frugal and not go for such expenditures (probably part of the reason they are rich in the first place), and the not so rich can overextend themselves to get what they want, put more on the old credit card and suffer with the bill later. It's their choice. It's why we have free will.

Yes, why not? i can't think of a better reason from my POV . . . i just got sick of your ragging on someone 's opinion . . . seemed like you took several posts to make your invalid point - just opinion - where one post was more than enough.
and i am definitely looking forward to Quad-SLI . . . eventually this will filter down to the midrange and into more mainstream affordability.

Sorry to hear about your illness. Unfortunately we all have to read and respond to things we don't like in here. But that's not going to stop me from commenting when I see fit.

What im wondering is why "Southpaw" is sending pictures of girls he is supposibly sleeping with to a man on Anandtech forums.
Edit: Rollo's argument makes no sense.

What's to wonder? He's a friend, sent me pics of his last two new girlfriends. He sends MP3s of groups he thinks I might like at times as well, and forwards jokes from his email circle.
It's the sort of thing friends do Bouzouki, if you were a more pleasant person, people might correspond with you as well?
