SLI'ed SLI? Or SLI ^2?

This whole "multiple video card" thing is getting WAY out of hand. A single 7800GTX is already CPU limited in most cases.

That's why you need a dual-dual core setup.

I remember the days when you didn't have to spend 2000 dollars on video cards in order to have the highest end system.

It's not like people buying such a setup are going to be gaming at the pitiful resolutions that current GPUs are CPU limited at anyway. 30" display anyone

It would be funny to buy this thing and then keep it for at least five years, and see how pathetic and stupid it's gonna look against future video cards at that time. Something like the voodoo5 6000, only this one actually might get launched for real.

Rollo? Where are you buddy! We need you to buy two more 7800 GTX's and then whatever board would support such an insane setup! Then test it and get back to us

I suppose 4x 7800 GTX could run 32XAA /64XAF @ 2560 @ 1600 or some crazy sheat like that.

That would require a larger than normal motherboard size, wouldn't it?

Haha, with that and 4 dual-core processors, then you would have 8 cpu's and 8 gpu's. That would require a massive power supply... Probably beyond 1000 Watts. :Q It's a good thing that card uses external power. It still would need 4 power connections, though.

Hmm, now I wonder how high of a framerate that could get on the most graphics intensive games even at highest settings?

heh he earns his money, so he may indulge in what ever. its just the same as buying 4 new rims for your ride....with extra chrome. they cost a pretty penny, and most people wouldnt bother, but some do. becuase its their hobby

but that thing is bad-ASS....just think, you wouldnt need a log fire or heating or anything in the winter. watercool all four of them and you can heat your home and take a hot shower at the same time
