PS - I used an fov of 105, i think its the ideal fov with sufficient view room and a faster pace.

You can change it using g_fov in the console. I noticed under the default 90 fov, the game is too claustrophobic.

I loved quake4! Seriously, it's what doom3 was supposed to be.
Oh man, nothing like firing the lightning gun with my 10" velodyne subwoofer cranked up to the MAX!
crack BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!! and then you see the zombie blow apart to bits. Most satisfying thing on a night after a long day of work.

Yea apparently the sound with quake 4 is top notch, provided you have a good sound card and surround sound speakers. I would recommend using an EAX Advanced HD incorporated sound card for this. Also, the new open AL sound feature is very sharp, without it enabled the sound won't sound crisp.

Yah, i prefer the nailguns sound effects myself, it sends off the most repulsive sound when fired that almost makes you cringe when turned up, but its strangely satisfying.
