Something interrdting about this is that Qualcomm executives have been exploring this for months. That means they started it way before all this bad news about Intel came out (budget cuts. layoffs, 20A cancellation...).

It makes you wonder how long Intel has known about disastrous Q2 results.

There are four authors of that Reuters article - and Reuters has a blurb about the backgrounds on two of them.

One is an activist-lawyer and the other has an undergraduate degree in history.

None of their prior reporting give any indication that they have the experience needed to analyze a scoop from semiconductor industry sources, that is, presuming that all of it is true in the first place.
