Hi, I'm new here, but I've got a comment to make... is it just me or has quality control for recent computers gone down the drain? A couple of years ago, I bought a recommended Pentium II 400 with an Asus P2B mobo, and a Maxtor hard drive. The thing never crashed, the hard drive works perfectly, and it did everything I wanted it to. Recently, I built an AMD Athlon, the "best buy", and within 6 months, my IBM Deskstar 75GXP has failed with bad blocks, my Thunderbird has faulty L2 cache, the SB Live crackles and pops, and the thing crashes all the time, WITH Win2k.
Sigh, I'm willing to sacrifice some speed if I could have a stable platform again. 440BX, you are sorely missed.
