guys i called back when I got my fireball LM plus 30 gig and they said no only the vendors on that list otherwise they will void your rebate. but who knows maybe they changed their policy. someone give them a call again

I just saw on Tech_bargains that this drive is $99 after rebate at Fry's

The Staples Quantum is OEM and the buffer is listed as only 128 kb; so, $138.99 - $30(coupon for instant rebate) = $108.99. Outpost has the retail version with 2 mb buffer; $134.95 - $30(MIR) = $104.95.

They're the same drive, at outpost and staples. Staples has the incorrect description on the cache. Check the description for lct20 drives -- 2MB cache is incorrect.

Take your copies of the rebate information to your local Staples after the requied 6-8 weeks and explain to them you have not gotten your rebate yet. They will had you the cash. At least mine does this without any question.
