"Maybe you just used the wrong notation or something but who cares if a HD can withstand 200grams pressure? Big deal, I'm sure most pieces of paper can withstand 200g preasure. (suspend a piece of paper by the sides and weigh it down with 200g of something I doubt it will break)."
That means it can withstand a 200G shock. In other words 200 times normal gravity. But it is not a constant 200G. It is only for a fraction of a second. For example when you drop your computer while bringing it home from a LAN.
Anyway I have used hundreds of HDD's at work and home and the ones that always worked the best were Quantum and Maxtor. I have only had 1 Quantum fail(immediately). I have only had 1 Maxtor fail (during the warranty period). That is less than 1% for either Quantum or Maxtor as I have used more than 100 of each brand. I have Quantum drives that are over 6 years old and still work. I have also had great success with Seagate though I have not touched a Seagate drive in about 3 years.
