They make a ton of mattresses. usually all of them that start with the same letter are the same or almost the same. That will allow you to comparison shop a little. I have a pillowtop model and love it. Can't remember the name though.

Is this through costco.com only or can you pick it up at the store and save the shipping ?

It is available in store as well. However, you may need the actual coupon. Costco sent out a coupon book at the beginning of the year a coupon for this offer as well as several others. There is also another Sealy model available by special order - Item# 168224.

The Mira Loma is usually available in the store at Costco. We bought a queen size Mira Loma for our guest bedroom, and our guests really like it.

You can also buy higher end Sealy mattresses and have them delivered. We bought a Sealy Haversham (the name is meaningless for comparison purposes) and love it. You can compare features a little bit, but they make it almost impossible to comparison shop model names or numbers. The Cal-King Haversham is $1199. Locally in San Diego it compared the closest to a Sealy mattress that was selling for over $1900 on "sale" at Mattress Discounters.

Funny, I am just about to return the Mira Loma to Costco after having it for about 7 months! It seems to have gotten much softer over time and my wife and I sink a little too much into it. Just so you know, it's a very soft matress with a lot of give to the springs. Great thing about Costco is they will take anything back (called and they said no prob). Am waiting on delivery of a Tempurpedic type bed made of memory foam that molds to your body by its heat. Saw it at Brookstone and had to have it after trying it. Too bad for me, it set me back $2500! But man was it cool, plus you could raise the foot, head and massage. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

I received the CostCo coupon book that GetReal is referring to. I'm anxiously awaiting Monday 1/28 to roll around so I can buy a new bed and get rid of my biggest POS ever Englander (never EVER buy that brand - regardless of the deal you get or how high end it is!!!).

^ Bump.

The coupon is valid starting today. My local CostCo's membership services said if you purchased this mattress recently, bring your receipt and the coupon to their counter and you'll get the $60 difference back in cash!

I'd be interested in hearing from people who buy this mattress how they like it. My wife and I were looking to purchase a new mattress, so timing couldn't be any better.

My roommate owns this mattress (bought it last year) it's held up really well. It's considered a "medium firm" so it isn't too soft or too firm. For the price it can't be beat plus CostCo has a very liberal return policy, very liberal.

A quick note for those interested in this mattress:

I got this mattress on a similar Costco deal last year. It's great for 1, but if you have 2 sleeping on it, it can be a bit soft. My girlfriend and I always roll into the middle of the bed when we are both on it, plus it may not give you enough back support if you have any back problems.

I highly recommend this bed for singles. It's comfy and a great price. If you are a couple, I might think about getting a firmer bed.

Cheers!

I just bought this bed tonight and it's a helluva bargain. 2 people will be sleeping on this so I hope it can adequate support us without being too firm. It's definitely better than the Englander POS I'm getting rid of, boy do I ever regret that purchase. If this lasts a good 5 years then I've got my money's worth, $340 was an awesome deal.

my bro works at brookstone and they sell those tempurapedic bed.
very expensive the mattress is $1500 for a queen. good thing is he gets employee discount and this past nov. i took advantage of that 75% off the beds.

so i got bed, frame, and boxspring for $600 ($1500 mattress, $300 frame, and $150 boxspring) shipped to my door and have been loving it (and making love on it) since.

Well, timely post - Wife and I are considering this bed @ Costco also. Will compare to what they have at Sam's this weekend.

Although, anyone have advise on how to comparison shop for beds ? I'm totally baffled on how to compare. Can rack and stack features (wrapped coils, metal vs. wood construction ....) but how does that translate into a comfortable bed that will stay firm more then a year ?

comments appreciated

In doing research last time I bought a mattress and box spring, I was able to confirm with a Sealy Rep that all in the Posturepedic line have the same box spring and coil construction. The only differences between different Posturepedic models is the padding on top of the coils and the damask (covering). As long as you're buying a Posturepedic, you're buying Sealy's best. Hope this helps.

Wife and I just woke up from our first night on this Sealy Mira Loma Posturpedic and it was very nice. Maybe over time we'll experience the problem that lalaw described. But we were REALLY in need of a new bed and paying $340 for Sealy's TOP OF THE LINE Posturpedic was worth every cent.

Glad I didn't pay CostCo $599 to have the King size shipped because I doubt it would have fit around a corner to get downstairs. Very nice bed, good support, firm and oh so nice.

We picked up the king-sized version of this mattress for our cabin and really liked it - Very comfortable! Some Costcos seem to carry the king, others don't. I seem to recall it's about anohter $100 over the queen.

Garion - If my local CostCo carried the King size I'd be tempted to buy one except for I doubt it would fit around the corner to go downstairs into our bedroom

How long have you had yours?
Does 1 or 2 people sleep on it?
How has it held up during that time?

To comparison shop beds, you are suposed to go by the spring count on the mattress. As you noticed they name the same mattress different things at different stores on purpose.
