Just hands-on a note3 yesterday! I LOVE the huge screen which is better for gaming.

I am those play games a lot. I have to admit that the Samsung Note3’s battery not shabby, i think there are still some users sometimes out there burn through its battery supply soon due to really heavy usage like me?Found some OEM battery and another extend battery but need pre-order.
Any advice? Whether I should buy 4500mAh/8500mAh from mpj?

Edit: Pick up one a month ago and recieved it soon. Worked beautifully so far but didn't measure how much longer

The phone has nfc in the battery, so if you want to use nfc, get an oem.

I am brand new to Android and the current one also Note 3. First of all I love the beautiful screen, simple to use, a lot more functionality than my former wp phone. but I am facing with a similar question...Did you have one already? Need it as a reference, thx.

1. I'd avoid any battery that promises to be same size as OEM but with a larger capacity - 99.9% its just a chinese knockoff that doesn't get as much life as the OEM

2. Legitimate extended batteries with a higher capacity will come with a new back since the battery will protrude. Lots of folks make this trade-off, though personally I wouldn't as one of the benefits of the Note 3 is how slim it is.

MPJ is somewhat known, does exaggerate their specs (I'd assume a 7000mAh battery from them is more like 5000mAh, but "legit". Still I'm not a fan of the humped backs.

3. I'd just get a spare OEM battery and keep it charged up.

I always get the official OEM battery charger for every Samsung phone I buy. It is a great value, as you get a battery and a phone for a little more than the battery.

When you think about it, just the battery is useless as it you have to purposefully charge it beforehand. With an external charger the charged battery is always ready and you can easily flip out and go. Plus is the real OEM battery so everything works, no phone explosion.

Heck, half my Samsung phone brand-loyalty is tied to the convience of that system.

For the Note 3 I can only find the charger on Ebay:

The best option is the official "charging system", which is a spare battery with an out-of-device charger. Unfortunately it won't be in stock for a few weeks.

edit: hah, didn't see the above post. Guess you could pay a premium to self-import from Korea via that ebay listing. If you wait, you can use the 50% off codes for the Samsung site, but... it's a wait.

Yeah I was surprised to not see it on Amazon. I usually buy them from Amazon.
It's consistently taken about a month from US release for this accessory to appear for US sale. (S3, S4, Note 2, and Note 3.)

Not sure why Samsung doesn't stockpile more of these before launch, but maybe they're just not that big a seller.

I pre-ordered my S4 one so I know what you mean.

I really appreciated on a podcast a few back when Brian Klug admitted how awesome these Samsung chargers and the ability to battery flip is.

Anker makes the best 3rd party battery. I don't think its available for the Note 3 yet though.

Yep, and with those 50% off Samsung coupons, it's very reasonable to do it.

Still waiting for the Note 3 charger and battery to be released with the coupon.
