Question about 2001 Toyota Camry

My father bought a 2001 Camry LE automatic, 21k miles. I've taken it for a drive a couple of times, I don't really like the handling. I noticed it dose-dives when braking, doesn't handle very well, plus it's pretty slow with the 4cylinder/automatic. Are these known for having a sloppy suspension? My old Buick doesn't handle much better! I used to own an 89 Accord which handled very nicely; I thought the Camry's have always been very similar to the Accord in handling/excelleration. What gives?

Camry's are just bland cars.

Bland Steering, Bland Braking, Bland Acceleration, Blank Styling... Theres nothing special about a camry except its reliability. (Which as of late has started to lack as well)

Yes, I forgot to mention that I thought the brakes kind of sucked too, felt very spongy. I will say it's a nice highway cruiser, but it's just very dull as Aphex said.

Its a car for old farts who dont like alot of bumps.

As for me, id rather drive German.

thats how its supposed to be bland reliable family car not meant for drifting around corners theres a sports package u can get with better suspension etc. but if you didn't get the xle i doubt u would have wanted to pay for it.

I used to drive an 89 accord, I loved that car. I think I'll buy another one in the future.

Camrys have never been sporty, they're just solid and reliable family transportation. Accords used to be sporty, like the older accords, but not so much anymore.
