Question about 9800 performance...

My current rig looks like this:
AMD Athlon XP 1700 @ 1.49Mhz
640mb of ram
gigabyte 7VAX mobo
GeForce fx5600 128mb

would a Radeon 9800 pro run the same on my current system as it would on say a p4 2.8 800fsb? and if it ran worse, about how much would you guess (fps wise). Another thing, I used to have a geforce 4200 ti, but it went bad, and now that I've gotten this new card it will lock up on some games and it will lock up about 1/2 the time when I'm using Internet explorer. I have no idea why. I've reformated, got the most current drivers and even reinstalled ie6, but no luck. I've gone to using Opera, no problems. Any suggestions?

i like the 20 mhz oc there

anyway, there is no way a 9800 pro will run as well on your system as on a 2.8 C. dont know the exact FPS difference though

Lets just say it is significant enough that a die hard AMD user has switched to the P4C. As I just tested my 9800pro on a my neighbours 1800+ (he kept telling me his 1800+ was faster than my 2.4C@3.4ig)
