So, I've done some googling, but I couldn't come up with an answer to this question. We have all been there standing in line at the airport with our shoes, belts, jackets, etc in hand waiting to go through the TSA security checkpoint. Yes, it's frustrating and possibly pointless, but I understand that it's for safety.
Anyway, after standing there for 30 minutes and you're almost next in line some moron walks up to the front of the line, flashes an airport ID, and cuts in front of you. Can they do that? I had it happen where the guy doing it was probably just a bag handler or something (judging by the work jump-suit he was wearing). I'm sort of okay with letting the pilots go ahead of me because, obviously, the planes aren't going anywhere without him/her. But some random airport worker? I have a problem with that.
They always seem so entitled to cut in line just because they work at the airport. Yes, it would suck if they had to wait in line just to go to work, but we as citizens have to wait in line to fly. There are certain sacrifices that people make for supposed safety.
Is this an FAA, TSA, or airport policy? I've confronted these people a couple of times and all they do is flash an airport ID at me. I'm not about to get into a "thing" right in front of a security checkpoint, but it really frustrates me.
