Question about Aliens (1986)

in this scene in the movie i am always weirded out by sigouney's bulge under the napkin she's wearing. that and her total lack of ass.

That film was made in the late 70's. Big bushes were in back then.

I have not seen Aliens in years but caught part of it on SyFy a couple weeks ago. I thought she was getting Newt from the aliens.

I contemplated creating a new thread for this movie. I think Ripley and Hicks were wrong to nuke the planet. The aliens are a very real threat and the human population needs to research them in order to defeat them. But i did not agree with Paul Riser's decision to implant the alien in Newt or Ripley.

Also the third movie was good and the tunnel alien vision was cool. It was the fourth that was utter garbage.

This is directed by Ridley Scott. He made the original Alien. Also made Blade Runner, Gladiator, Thelma & Louise, Black Hawk Down, and many other highly-regarded movies. I'm excited because the potential for screw-up is minimal with this guy in-charge.

You could not be more wrong. I watched the third one for the first time (director's cut). It absolutely ruined the franchise. It's no wonder the only way to go from there was to do a prequel.

The third movie was terrible by all measures. People have contradictory and motives and actions that make no sense. Even the opening was sloppy. How the hell was there was an egg in the escape pod?

I like the "assembly" cut of Alien 3 much better than the theatrical. It doesn't approach the first 2 films, but it still improves overall.

Some of the action was cool in T4 but the fact that a helicopter could come into Skynet's main base was ludicrous and silly. Although T3 was not a masterpiece incorporating the internet into Skynet was great and it was still entertaining for the action. Too bad they did not really flip a crane like they wanted to do.

She did not have to fry the eggs. She could have just as easily poached them.

Presumably she didn't want to run back to the elevator and landing platform with a child in tow while facehuggers chase them (they're pretty damn fast). The egg opening and her expression just prior to her torching the nest makes it pretty clear.

No question. Alien Resurrection. It wasn't good, but it was far, FAR better than Alien3.
