question about android and taskkillers, ram cleaners, etc etc.

So I just got an android phone and still learning the ropes around it. Ive been looking around online about 'task killers/process killers, ram cleaners, and I don't know if these are necessary.

Do I/should I be keeping an eye on how much ram is being used by my phone; and should I periodically be 'cleaning' or killing useless processes on my phone?

I was reading an article on on lifehacker about that subject and in it, they say that it is not necessary have a task killer app. What about apps like "clean master?" It has options to clean ram and also clear 'junk files.' Is it essentially a task killer?

What do you guys, if any?

Don't run any of them. Ever. If you ever want to thin out apps, just swipe from the multitask button.

And don't worry about your RAM -- keeping stuff in there is useful and costs virtually nothing.

The only thing you might worry about (but don't have to, given the right hardware) is wakelocks.

I don't use them. My only advice would be to exit programs that run in the background after you're done with them.

Tunein seems to keep awake if I 'pause' from lockscreen or quick notifications. I have to use the 'stop' icon.
