Question about backups

Ok, I have a 3 computer network with .doc files and favorite places from ie that need to be backed up every night. The computer that has the cdr runs windows xp pro. I plan on using 5 cd-re's to do the job; one for every day of the week (no saturday or sunday). I have the nero software that came with my lite-on drive.

What would be the best way to have this automated (ie batch files..etc) so I wouldnt have to do anything but swap the disks every morning?

Setup an NTBackup job to run that connects to the drives on the other PCs (network places in the ntbackup tree, underneith your drives and system state) and backs up the data. Schedule the job to run as desired right from within ntbackup.

Be sure the account that the backup job is running under has access to the other PCs.

Easy as pie. No scripts required.

Forgive my lack of knowledge, but does this back up to the re-writable? Isn't there something that would need to be configured from with in the burning software?
This is my first time dealing with re-writables.

Nope, won't back up to a rewriteable. You may need a script after all to transfer it. Forgot about that, sorry.

Stomp backupmyPC get my vote and it is easy to use and can back up to any media include CDRW.

Thanks for your suggestions! I have found a program that does what I need it to do. With the newest Nero, it has a program called BackItUp!. It is probably the easiest thing I've tried so far; everything is menu driven and very configurable.
