i'm using a antec 1650 case right now. there are 3 case fans. one side panel, one back panel, and one front panel. i'm using a zalman 7000 for my cpu. i was wondering if the case fan should be facing inside(blowing air inside) the case or facing outside the case(blowing air toward outside). in other words, should the cooler master sticker on the fan face out or face inside the case. i took off the stock case fan without paying attention.

and one more question regarding the program speedfan. it shows cpu 40C, HD 44C, remote 1 38C and remote 2 120C. how come remote 2 is so high and i can't figure out what is remote 2.

thanks

what if u have two side vents... both same directions.. or opposite directions?

The side fan should be blowing into the case, in the general area of the video card and CPU.

Instead of using two side vents, just cut up a "blowhole" on top of your case, and intall a fan there to suck the hot air out of your case.

LOL you don't usually need to put a fan on the bottom of the case,

but if for whatever reason you want to do it, just remember that heat rises

I hope you remember to put one big-ass dust filter on that fan, if your floor is anything like mine

You should always have sightly more air being pumped in than pumped out. Intakes should also have dust filters. If you have more pumpng out than in, it will create a negative pressure, which will suck dust in through every possible crevace (and don't tell me you've got no dust in your house!)

my side fan sits directly on top of my cpu fan. and i think my cpu fan is sucking air from the heatsink and not blowing air on the heatsink since its facing the side. so won't those two be blowing air at each other? and for my case, if i cut a hole for a fan on top of my case, it'll only be blowing air onto my power supply wires and won't reach the mobo area.

In a tower case, the CPU heatsink fan would be facing the left side panel (where your side fan is located),

and unless you install some custom heatsink-fan combo where you can stick the heatsink fan upside-down to suck hot air off the heatsink,

most CPU fans blows onto the CPU heatsink, in which case the side case fan would work just fine, in tandem with the CPU fan.

If you cut a hole on top of your case, instead of blowing air into the case,

the top blowhole fan should suck hot air out from the case.
