They are not going to hear it and they evidently fell on deaf ears in your case.ooof, the powers that be gonna are hate hearing those words
Post count is one of those things dudes that don't amount to much like to say make's another a loser. "Hey ATOT is great! However, why post there!"
Much of my post count comes from 5-6 years I worked from home in sales. I had a good $40k-50k income. It was sales which I am not a great sales person as I tend to be to honest and wasn't in the sales that I could sell to fulfill that. I wanted more though money and more of a challenge...so I moved on.
Exactly. Some of the best posts I've seen at Anandtech were by people who were long time members with very low post count. Age, sex and race don't mean much either, but they are less in evidence here than post count.Post count means nothing.

Costco is one of my favorite places to shop and there aren't many. 95% of the stuff there I'd never give a 2nd look. Mostly I buy food there...I rarely buy processed foods. I bring a list and usually stick to it completely then march to the checkout lines, pay with my Amex/Costco card. All this after gassing up. Do it around every 7 weeks on average. Yesterday and the day before I made my first two online Costco purchases (my Garmin nuvi navigator 2595LMTHD, and the day before 4x golf gloves package). Those were good deals! I'm really into getting good deals, a major reason I shop Costco. I should check their online stuff in the future. They have product reviews, but unlike Amazon they don't allow comments, a big drawback to reading them. Someone can say something, be dead wrong and nobody can correct them.So ya people with high post counts are idiots!! Just found out yesterday that you dont even need a costco card to shop there,,, just get a gift card. Impressive.. so nice to know figured id share, half sleep. Try get another thirty mins at work before im off argh

The redirect for that through Anandtech (I guess Anandtech forums does that so they get a kickback from the retailer) doesn't work for me. That's a frequent problem I have with links here. My URL, which is not loading is this:Nokia 520
This phone is $60. You don't need cell or data plan. You can use it as iPod Touch equivalent and listen to music, watch videos, alarm clock, calendar, etc. It also has free offline Nokia maps which you can use as standalone GPS. I would use this phone if I didn't have GPS or smartphone phone with data plan.

What's the site you are linking me to? I'll just go there and search on the Nokia 520 GoPhone, that's what it is, right?
Cool. Thanks. I ordered an 8GB microSD card for the Garmin Nuvi 2595LMTHD. Didn't hear about torrented maps for it. People do say that the maps supplied by Garmin are often pretty out of date. It's very much a YMMV thing depending on the area. I heard that their Mexico maps are hopelessly, laughably OOD, well not so funny if you are lost in Mexico!Amazon.
also obviously gray area but you could also torrent map updates for your gps.
I downloaded and printed out 3 copies of the full manual for my soon-to-arrive Garmin Nuvi 2595LMTHD. Wow, this thing does everything but wipe your ass and make dinner!
One thing just caught my eye -- It's in the table of contents: Hiding Your Location....Page 52. Good to know they have this in an age of terrorism. I quote:
Hiding Your Location
You can hide your location from people who are following you.
Select Apps > Tracker > Hide Me
What model are you talking about? Do you charge for your insults? Oh, I see, you're just trying to live up to your username. That's a tough one.Too cheap to buy the upgraded model huh?

Oh, OK, I get it, you were being flippant. My apologies! :$Dude....
Check the bolded part, then read my reply again

I've been researching the Nokia Lumia 520. There's a bunch of more expensive unlocked international versions. Don't know what that's about but I have no plans now to be outside the USA, so... The basic one's around $60. I have a prepaid plan now with pagepluscellular for my old LG VX4500. I'm trying to figure out if I'd need another plan with someone else. I see people talking about ATT prepaid, maybe that's what I'd need to get on. It is a smartphone, they say, so I'm interested...
I'm a newbie for sure (my first GPS is in shipment), but the research I've been doing has suggested to me that the knock on this idea is that your coverages using a smart phone are an iffy proposition. I'm also told that the sound quality coming from a smart phone is definitely inferior to that of the GPS I ordered.Google navigate on a smart phone is much better than a cheap stand alone GPS.

Per the manual's admonitions and my usual rules of thumb in my use of Li-ion rechargable batteries I'm not going to leave my GPS in the car, the possible exceptions being when I'm coming back soon and I know it will not get very warm in the car, and in those cases I will hopefully make sure it's not visible.Good standalone GPS > Smartphone GPS.
I have a 1450LMT, which is kept in the car, and a Samsung Galaxy 2.

I don't get this. You know this going in that you run that risk, but you hold Costco responsible? That's a dickhead move.Huh? Why? I'm not planning on returning anything, but if the lifetime updates turns out to be an SOL after 2-3 years, I wouldn't hesitate to return it if I can. Is that shitty? :|
