hey guys, i am building my computer and just getting ready to install the
operating system , (win 98)
when it says "invalid media type reading drive c:". Im using just a single
hard drive, and single dvd drive. the hard drive is recognized as a master
when it boots up, and so is the cd rom drive, i was even able to use
"fdisk" to partition it. But as soon as i go in to the c: directory and then
type any command it gives me that invalid media type error, and when i type
setup to start the OS installlation, it freezes when it starts to say"
windows requires 723434 bytes of space". I tested 3 diferent hard drives,
and still the error. what is wrong ?
my RIG
Pc chips m810LMR motherboard
link to the motherboard specs--------> http://203.161.230.38/m800lmr.html
athlon 900 mhz cpu thunderbird
128 megs pc 133 ram generic
atx 250 watt case
p.s. could it be the start up disk has a virus?
