Ok so i know HD is just resolutions such as 720 is xxxx x 720 or what ever the first number is.
So computer monitors do quite a bit more than HDTV's. So my question is are we watching stuff in HD when we use the computer at 1280 x 1024 which is almost as high as 1080 HDTV resolution and i image many people use greater resolutions then that.
So when i put a regular dvd in and play it is it upscaled HD? Kinda like you can do with a DVD player that upscales to 1080i to your DVD player? So what is the difference from a computer monitor and a HDTV? Is it our video cards that cannot produce the HD quality videos?
