What kind of panel does it use?
It has very good spec, except it doesn't pivot or swivel.
Any experience with it?
Few reviews are rating this model better than Dell 2007fpw.
335.00 after rebate and coupon seems pretty good price, if it's that good.
Thanks for any help?

I have this monitor. I think it has the S-PVA panel, but I'm not 100% sure. My unit has a strange quirk where the texts on some websites have a greenish/orangish tint to it. The problem is even more pronounced if ClearType is on and with the black text on light backgrounds. It is actually strange but on this monitor I actually prefer the VGA connection over the DVI because those quirks don't occur, at least not to my eyes, when using the VGA connection.

I also have a Samsung 215TW and I much prefer that monitor over the HP f2105.

Is the problem limited on your lcd?
I've seen a review stating it's much better with DVI than analog.
Thanks.

I have no idea I'm afraid as I don't know anyone else with this monitor. I bought it based on some reviews and did not see it in a store. Might be just my bad luck. Regarding the panel I just went to to this site http://www.flatpanels.dk/panels.php to check on it, and according to the site it has a S-PVA panel.

Yeah, I thought it's S-PVA, since it has almost identical spec with Samsung 215tw, 178 viewing angle and 1000:1 contrast etc. It probably same panel.
$399 - 50(rebate) and -15(coupon) w/free shipping from buy.com seems pretty good deal.

Would like this HP as much as the 215tw, if it doesn't have the problem you described?

Yes, I most likely would like the HP as much as the Samsung if it did not have that quirk. Keep in mind though also that the Samsung has more video inputs, and picture-in-picture functions, but no USB ports. The HP, on the other hand, has only the standard DVI, and VGA, but has a 2-port USB. Aesthetically I prefer the HP over the Samsung.

Thanks, Yoda and Pantalaimon.
By the way this mode has problem with the power button. Several broken power button reported on Amazon site. And only comes with 1 year warranty.

I have both the HP f2105 and the Dell 2007WFP. The HP is definitely the better monitor. With a S-PVA panel the viewing angles are very good and I prefer it over an S-IPS panel where viewing angles are pretty much equal except the Dell starts to have a very annoying purple fade to the monitor, very noticable on blacks. The colours on the HP are a lot more natural and so much better than the Dell. On top of that, you get so much more brightness levels and contrast on the HP.

Btw, the HP f2105 uses the same Samsung panel used in the Samsung 215TW. As for the colour issue pointed out, you need to adjust the colours and contrast, once you have that done, you'll see the difference.

I have tried to adjust the colours and contrast, but have only managed to diminish it, not get rid of it
