Question about Logitech MX series mice?

I have the Wheel Mouse Special Edition Optical mouse and the optical sensor goes idle(almost kind of off) when the mouse is stationary. Im wondering if the optical sensor on the new MX series mice does this? And how do you like your MX series mouse?

do you mean like the light dims when not in use for a few seconds or so?
i thought pretty much all optical mice did that.....

i dont have one but i thought i should comment
maybe get my confusion solved

Yea basically the light dims... I've noticed this more than on my other optical mouse the MS Wheel Mouse Optical. But also I guess might be a problem sometimes in an fps type game when I dont move it, the mouse dims then if I need to do a quick jerk of the mouse from its "idle" position sometimes it looses track where it was...

Stop camping then I can't think of any situation in ANY fps game where your mouse sits idle for over a second. Either way, the older logitech optical led lights do light back up pretty quickly. Maybe yours is just defective.

I've noticed this behavior on my Microsoft Wireless Explorer, presumably some kind of battery-saving mode, but never on my corded mice.
On my second computer, I've got a Logitech MX300 corded mouse. Very nice. Smooth and accurate. Highly recommended.

My old intellimouse would do the same thing. Never happens on my dual optical.

The LED on my mx500 never fades when I leave it stationary.
But I don't have the mouseware stuff installed, if that would make any kind of a difference.

I had an original intellimouse explorer, and the LED faded on that when I left it still for a short while.

I have the mx700 and due to the location of the light you can't see it. The mouse has no lag and their is no noticeable lag when you move the mouse as in the newest microsoft wireless. The mouse is a bit heavy due to the rechargeable batteries but it works great.
