Question about Logitech Z-680 wiring

I recently got the Logitech Z-680 speakers which I know a lot of us jumped in on that Dell deal. I love the speakers but I did notice it came with some cheap stereo wiring. I was wondering if I upgraded the wires to something like a 16 guage, will I hear a difference. Just debating if new speaker wire is worth the investment. Thanks!

Best thing to do would be to hook it up and see what it sounds like I find it hard to believe there'd be much of a performance increase.

Thinner wire doesn't make the amp work any harder, but the perceived volume reduction whether real or imagined, may cause some people to over comphensate by turning up the gain.

The realworld reason for using thicker wires is fire safety, and to a smaller extent, dynamic range. In short for the 50-60 watts peak, which translates to probably 25-30 watts RMS per satallite speaker, 18ga wire is sufficient.

Given the type of speaker/amplifier system this is, there would be few people, if any who could tell the sonic difference between using 16, 18, or 20 gauge wire.

Thanks for the advice here and on that site dealing with discounts that I can't use the word here. I'll save myself the money and stick to what came with the system.
