question about playstation 2

I remember a few years back that when i bought my nintendo 64 I was allowed 90 days to try it out. If I didn't like it I could return it (of course i kept it).

I am wondering if Playstation 2 has a policy anything like this (or Toys-r-us since that is where I am going to buy it.)

I think it is only 30 days... depends really on which store you go to since every place has different policies

Some stores only have a 14 day return...and charge a restocking fee.

You could try Best Buy. I think they have a 30 day return policy without a restocking charge.

This is more of a general electronic question rather than just a PS2 question.

A lot of stores have different policies, you'll have to check around. I hear Walmart is pretty liberal though, you might want to be sure to check there as well...

Try Target, they have a 90 day return policy, BUT I don't know if their return policy works on electronics. Go there and ask them ... they definitely have one of the best return policies in terms of how long you can keep something before returning it.

If you really want to try Playstation 2 but aren't sure if you want to buy one, why not try renting one for a week? Its sortof like money down the drain and it may not be long enough for you, but it should at least give you an idea if you'd like the system. I think when you rent a system from Blockbuster they give you 3 games or so with it so you can try it out. Either that or just bite the bullet and buy one and if you dont like it, you can always FleaBay it.
