I have been looking into upgrading over time so that I can afford to push some new parts through my PC.

I have an AGP x1600 right now so the goal was to have that as my video card for at least a few more months while i upgrade some of the other parts.

What I have come down to is the following purchases.

ASRock 775DUAL-VSTA ATX LGA775 Conroe PT800 PRO/ULTRA DDR DDR2 AGP PCI-E16 SATA Sound Motherboard
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=18719&promoid=1043

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 Dual Core Processor LGA775 Conroe 2.13GHZ 1066FSB 2MB Retail
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=19143&promoid=1043

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA2 3GB/S 7200RPM 16MB Cache NCQ Hard Drive
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=18409&promoid=1043

While I would continue to run my AGP x1600 and my current ram.

I would probably still use my Soundblaster audigy 2 sound card, Benq dvd+/- rw drive, and an LG cd burner.

I have a lanboy case, and it has a Antec Smartblue 350w powersupply.

If i upgrade these parts will I be able to continue to use this case / power supply for a few more months or will The power requirements of the upgrades force a new powersupply on me?

Thanks.

It could.

16A on the 12V rail is not impressive by any means but you're talking about a machine that won't breach 10A from the 12V at full stretch.

Damn conflicting answers not what I was hoping for.

Well Bob, Currently I have no intentions of Overclocking the CPU and I'm on a tight upgrade budget.

I Really dont want to have my system break as a result of a crappy PSU. Is there any harm in my trying it? Worst case scenario what will happen?

Right now i'm in the camp of if it will work for 2 months without dying on me im willing to give it a shot. But if it is going to put the system at risk I would rather wait till i have a bit more cash for upgrades.

Worst case the machine won't boot.

Well, i lie, it has been known for defective PSUs to explode and destroying the components. However that's as rare as an elloquent and well thought out Presidential speech. It's also due to defective componenents rather than insufficent power sourcing ability. A bit of a non issue really, just included for completeness.

If it doesn't have the power you need it won't boot, or it'll crash when you load up a game as the GPU power gets too high. It shouldn't hurt your system at all.

I'd prefer something with a better name, but it should be ok. (With a 20-24 pin adaptor of course).
