Hey ya'll,
I can't seem to find conclusive evidence anywhere if the Raidmax 600F power supply has a 4+4-pin or 8-pin ATX12 CPU connector. The Newegg product page shows 1x12v(4/8pin) in the connector list, but I can't locate it in their pics or any other site's pics.

Do any of you have this power supply and can you confirm one way or another if it has 8-pin capability without purchasing an additional adapter cable?

Here's what I'm looking for:

Thanks in advance!

It has a 4+4...

But let me do you this favor... don't get that PSU. It's built by Solytech.. doesn't even have APFC. Just not a good unit.

Thanks for the info and the tip. I'm looking at a budget purchase and $50AR seemed like a good deal for this unit. How important is Active PFC in a quad-core, single video card system? Does it realistically improve system performance and stability, or is it just a segway into the "green" era for PSUs?

$50 A.R. isn't much of a PSU budget, but the fact that this has a flash appearance AND is only $50 AR should be an indication that what's inside isn't worth much.

APFC is not "important", per se. But it's a good gauge of quality. For the last few years, PSU topologies have been "updated" to include PFC as part of the cicuitry. A non-PFC certainly isn't a bad thing, but it shows it's probably an "old schol", inefficient design.

For $50 you can get a good non-PFC that has no frills. Frills aren't free, so if the unit doesn't cost a lot but has a lot of flash, you have to wonder how much has gone into what makes that PSU do what it's supposed to do.

Yes, definitely good ideas to consider. I was actually under the impression that all modern PSUs had some sort of PFC and the only argument was active versus passive. A little more research proves that wrong.

Thanks for the info and thanks for the link, Marc. That too is a good deal. Especially with a 5-year warranty and .99 APFC.
