Question about Seti TeamAnandtech Stats

I have the Monolith -- my home comp -- using Orangekid's proxy. That's all cool

Now, recently I decided to set up my work PC (a 733mhz PIII) to crunch as well -- but because of my corporate firewall -- I could not access port 5001 and cannot use Orangekid's proxy.

OK, so now I am using Engineer's proxy which uses a port that I can access. The only problem is that the WU's that the work PC is crunching do not seem to be reflected in my TeamAnandtech stats. What gives? I am trying to catch Pheran and these extra WU's would really help.

They should be showing up in the TA stats! All of the WUs, regardless of which proxy they go through, all go to Berkeley. Here, is where TA get all the stats from!

You may wish to double check that the work PC is using the right Seti account!

Another thing. Are you looking on the Berkely stats page or Smokeball and Wiz's page? The Berkely page updates instantly whereas Smokeball and Wiz's page updates every 15 minutes. Just a thought

Your stats are there and the WU's are going through...not sure what stats page you are looking at though?

Be sure you are using the same e-mail address on both machines.
That would be the only thing I can think of.

I guess what I am asking is this: If the Monolith turns in 9 WU's per day to the Orangekid's server, and the work PC turns in 3 WU's to Engineer's -- will I get credit for all 12 on the TeamAnandtech states. Right now I am ranked 496 or something -- and I am trying to catch and pass Pheran at 489. I just want to make sure the work done by both machines will be shown in the stats listed

Here lies the problem.................

you are using two different e-mail addresses........use only one

On Engineers Q at the bottom the account has a total of 10 wu's

On my Q at the bottom the account has 970wu's

These #'s come from Berkeley and reflect the total amount of wu's you have done per account(email address)...not just what has gone through the Q.

My account is a good example as the #'s at the bottom are much larger than what I have sent through my own Q.

Change the e-mail address on your work client to be the same as the one you are using on your clients at home and that should fix your problem

Before you ask...........can these be combined?..............you would have to plead your case to someone at Berkeley, and these things are not done very often as they are a might bit busy with other things.........feel free to try though.

The sooner you get all your clients on one e-mail address, the sooner all your wu's will be yours

I just sent "skrill" a PM with a few tips to get this straightened out making sure he ends up with the "right" Seti Email Address.

Thanks guys. I have it all worked out now I believe. In a couple of weeks Pheran will be history. Only thing is -- this is going to mess up my Avg WU time of less than 2:30

The work PC takes a leisurely 10 hours to crunch.

Wait, I updated SetiSpy to get my latest User Stats and it say unknown to everything except that I registered in September 2001. And it says CPU time 0. What's up with this??

Need a little more info to help with this. You might want to complete the next WU and then see if SetiSpy has gotten updated properly.

Which computer are you having this problem?

You would be best served if you just delete the Seti Folder on your work computer and start that one over from scratch using the proper email address. Use Engineer's Q since you can reach that one.

Thanks guys. Looks like evertything is good now. The work PC is reporting to Engineers que and is using user ID 3263509. This is the same ID as is being used on the home PC, that's going through Orangekid's Proxy.
