Crash was a really well done movie with some great actors. I def give it 2 thumbs up. The end part where the mexican locksmith is holding his daughter(you know what I am talking about).......OMG I think everyone in that theater was almost in tears.

Dude I shot straight up outta my seat and was pissed. That movie actually kinda made me hate Iranians a bit more cause of what an asswipe the persian guy was.

If you had that reaction to the Persian guy, you should have 'shot straight up outta" your seat for EVERY character. That's the point of the movie. It reinforces your prejudices then slaps some sense into you.

No, I felt moved by every character except for him.I felt the mexican guy and his daughter.I loved the scene at the end with the house cleaner and the bitchy white chick.I liked ludacris learning about life. But the persian guy was just a little bitch. He shot a freaking kid.Should I like him cause he felt bad in the end.No.The whole movie he was unwilling to listen to anyone.

But it was his fault. He didnt want to listen to the mexican dude.Cause he has a victim mentality. He thinks everyone is against him just cause he is Persian. He and ludacris were examples of this.Ludacris learned and maybe the persian guy did as well.

Awesome movie!

ah, figured that was the case...but given her opinion on her father getting a gun...it coulda also been that she purposely got blanks so he couldnt kill anyone...she knew how hateful he was and thusly also knew how dangerous giving him a loaded gun would be

MaxD is referring to another movie called Crash. That movie was awful, although some people liked it, perhaps those who have never seen an Almodovar film. Although Siskel & Ebert both loved it, so maybe not.

It was clearly not intentional, IMO. The clerk asked her if she knew what she was doing when she bought them, and she chose them randomly. She didn't say blanks, she said the red box. She also later went into the draw and looked at the box to discover that they were blanks.

Her father's character in some ways is the least likeable, if only because we do not see much of his character after his transformation, unlike others. But I personally think that ryan phillippe's (SP?) character was even more detestable, personally, because he committed the most vile act, covered it up, and also was the most fundamentally naive character.

Wasnt it him that let the 2 guys go though? Or Rather convinced the other cops to let them go?

Sure but considering the circumstances, I think it was possible to understand how he could have shot the black kid. I was a little confused as to what that particular point of that scene was. I realize his brother was supposed to die but I expected it to happen differently.

I disagree. She clearly didn't want her dad to have a gun, and definitely didn't want him to hurt anyone, so she chose the one type of bullets that proved to be no harm. She did not choose them randomly, the clerk asked if she knew what they were, which she clearly did.

Later when her dad told her what happened, she wasn't shocked at all at the result, because she knew the reason behind the little girl not being killed..

Perhaps. The guy was agitated and went to whip something out of his pocket. It's certainly not how I would behave if I was in a stranger?s car. It just seemed to me that the greater reason he ended up dead was his behavior rather than his skin color.

Did she buy blanks on purpose? Or was that just a good coincidence? There is evidence supporting either claim...just wanted to know what you thought.
