Question about the Movie "Crash"

The people in the van were NOT Vietnamese. How did you guys come up with that?

Also, maybe the Persian guy had a victim attitude and thought everyone was against him because hmm in today's America, EVERYONE is against him. It's pretty clear by some of your actions, that if you saw him on the street or in your store, he should be worried.

Is this movie any good? I've been considering it for a while. I like artsy movies and the occasional intelligent blockbuster like Batman Begins if you want to know my taste.

Just watched the movie, i really enjoyed it. It's nice to see some thought provoking movies instead of the usual crap in theaters.

It was completely intentional. She knew what they were, and the fact that she asked for them specifically (give me the red box. you know what those are? just give them to me) led me to figure out what was going to happen about 10 minutes before it happened and kinda ruined it for me.

She did it on purpose, because she wanted her dad to feel safe, but not for him to be able to harm anyone.

The only reason they showed the box at the end was so stupid people could figure out why the little girl hadn't gotten shot.

I think she bought the blanks on purpose. She was so against her angry / asshole dad getting a gun (knowing he would use it) so she picked the blanks.

After he fired the gun and thought an angel had saved the girl, she noticed a change in her father, almost calming. She removed the blanks from the gun before he would have a chance to figure it out.

There's no excuse for not knowing that the people were persian b/c it was mentioned, but I don't remember the same being mentioned for the Thai. Correct me if I'm wrong though. I had just assumed they were East/South East Asian.

Agreed, unfortunately. Crash displayed nothing new at all, except to those who refuse to admit what goes on in the world.

IMO, the connection with all the characters makes it unrealsitic and cheesy.

She definitely bought the blanks on purpose... that's why at the end when the father was talking about shooting someone the first thing she did was grab the bullets and put them in her purse.

I still don't see why so many of you think she bought them on purpose. She just pointed to the red ones...she didn't know anything about guns or ammo. Thats why the store owner asked her if she was sure..but she was just sick of dealing with the guy, and wanted to get out of there. It was coincidence.
