Question about these 2 processors

The second one says that its the only 64-bit Windows Compatible Processor, and i have windows xp, so do i even really have a choice here? And how much will the processors overclock to with the heatsink and fan that they come with? Thanks!

Its just marketing. Athlon64's run 32-bit Windows XP (or lower) and 64-bit editions.

Both processors are compatible with windows XP and the upcoming windows XP64. No need to worry.

At least 5% , but it vary's chip to chip.

i would guess a 100-200 MHz with the stock fan. anything more and i think you're stretching it. If you want a 2.5Ghz a64 then buy a good heatsink along with the cpu

From what i have read it has a LOT to do with what mobo you use. No mater what you overclock more than 200mgh with stock fan you can burn it up!!

There is an article in the tech area on this sight that talks about AMD64 mobo that should help you. I would spend the extra money on a better fan if you are going to over clock. (price of cpu> best cooling fan)
