I can't find my wheel lock key, but when I bought the lock set from a Honda dealer a decade ago, I wrote down the part number. That part appears to be here.

Question: Would all keys under this PN be the same, or would there be many different key versions?

find a socket set with large sockets (best of they are the star type). Now find a socket that doesn't slide onto the lock nut, but one that you think with enough coaxing and a mallet might fit. Now get that mallet and hammer that socket on and use a socket wrench or breaker bar to get the lock nut off. use a flat head screw driver through the hole in the socket to pound the lock nut out of the socket.

I'm aware of this but might have to go thru multiple sockets, as well as buy a vice and possibly mallet. Would prefer to get a replacement key so I can keep using the locks (which imo can help deter non-pro theives).

Interesting, but not much less money than a new set with key, so I don't see the point in my case.

If no one is sure of the answer, I'll just call a dealer and see if they know.

You might be able to get a new key with your VIN number if there are different keys.

If it's the honda branded locks, the dealer should still have the masters for all the versions in their shop. They should be able to order you a replacement if you bring it in. Not sure if there is a serial number on the locks that you can just call in.

My car came with some factory branded locks, but I don't use them anymore. The dealer told me they have the master set, so I would not have to bring in the key when I had some warranty work done.

I lost the key to my honda's nuts before. I took it to the dealership and the guy tested a bunch of keys to see which one fit. Then he sold me the key for something like $15.

I believe the Honda stock ones are made by McGard (at least for my Acura TSX they were). They were able to send me a key just based on a picture of the locking nut. Cost around $16 or so for the key if I remember correctly.

You might want to give that a try if the dealership route doesn't work out.

Take it to a local aftermarket wheel shop that does installs. They will most likely have a key that will get the nuts off. I ended up doing that when I managed to strip my key which was a GM OEM nut made by Mcgard, and the shop got the lug off in no time with no damage to the wheel or the lug. If you're that concerned about your wheels getting stolen, or they are worth that much, then it shouldn't be a big deal to buy another set of locking nuts which aren't expensive.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I stopped by Honda today and all he said he could do is order a new set. I will call McGard next week and see if the code I have is enough for a replacement key, or perhaps send them a picture if needed.

There is a few diff key sets for McGard, most dealers would have all the keys
