Well, I was working as a microbiologist. But I recently changed jobs for what I thought would be a better opportunity, but turned out it was not. So I've made a bit of a career change and am now working as a network / workstation admin. I thought maybe a change of pace might do me some good.

This is very true, too. In the age of leasing your ASS off, anyone can pretty much drive anything. Personally, I drive a 2005 Maxima that I'm purchasing.

Really, the car you drive means dick as far as anyone else is concerned. If you're out to impress people get a penis pump.

We've owned BMW's for over 30 years. Never a brand new one, (not rich...duh) bu t usually a couple of years, often covered by the CPO program. My first one was a 1972 2002 Tii, that I inherited from my best friend when he died in Vietnam. Since then, I or we have owned several other bimmers, including a 320i, a 535i, and 2 735i's. Nice cars, but like most performance cars, they tend to be maintenance intensive.

BTW, I'vve worked heavy construction ever since I got out of the Corps in 1973.

I love Audi, I plan on getting an A4 or an S4 a few years down the line. The Audi is a lot more visually appealing compared with the BMW 3-series IMHO.

I was an econ major. I don't drive a BMW, but my wife does (it's a chick car).

This is a silly question based on a ludicrous premise. I wouldn't exactly lump drivers of BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, etc with hotshit kids who drive Acura Integras and think they're God's gift to motoring. And a lot of the folks that drive those nice cars can't really afford them either. If cars are your thing, have you thought about working in the auto industry? Doing something you enjoy with be a lot more gratifying than what's parked in your driveway.

this reminds of my parents' previous store's landlord. This dude was so rich, it was not funny. He owns a huge accounting firm, and owns *a lot* of commercial properties.

...now for his car, it was I think a late 80s Cressida. I know he had it as late as 2002/03, and he may still have it today.

I know a 50+ guy who owns several real estate properties and drives a 5 year old pickup. He keeps a low profile and does not brag how much he is worth. Does not even dress like other "pretenders" I've met.

A4s are nice cars overall - he's making fun of my car in particular. There's a long list of stuff that's wrong with it.

Oh well, his ass drives an early 90s tracer

Ah, gotcha

Yea my Uncle had an A4 that was a piece of (insert synonym for feces here) and complained to Corporate Audi and they made him an offer he couldn't refuse on a brand new A4, he took it and this one has had significantly fewer issues. Doesn't change the fact that they are damn secksy.
