I can't see how you would be "proving" that he is the son of god. However, if I were to stipulate that for the sake of discussion I still would not be "worshiping" him in the highest until after its proven that there aren't any equally impressive beings out there that other folks call "god" that compete with him, since Christianity isn't exactly the only "god" being worshipped out there in the world.

I mean that the general consensus of most of the population on Earth after a few weeks or months will be that Jesus is indeed back on Earth, probably because of widespread miracles, convincing sermons, and other events similar to the Biblical accounts of the time when Jesus was on Earth.

edit: as it is, im not sure what it would take for me to believe jesus was here and the son of god. im also not sure that id care that much.

id find the responses of other religious groups interesting, including the christian sects who called for the return of jesus, but predicted it would happen in one way, when it ended up happening in another.

Yes, proven miracles. Of course, you only need conclusive proof of one or two miracles to determine it is really Jesus.
