747 from L.A. to Fiji. SUCKED!!!

That's a 12 hour flight for those of you that don't know. I don't care how big the damn plane is...unless you're in first class, it's too small.
singapore air would have been perfect for me for the 14 hours to taipei except that they put this fold down foot rest in the economy section for their shorter people. with the thing down i couldn't stretch out far enough, with it up my knees were right up against it. they had the screen in each seat, and you could select all sorts of things. i played dr mario for like 4 hours straight.

its completely the airline's decision on whether to have the screens and what to put on them. the airplane you're in doesn't matter much.

never fly china air. avoid it like the plague.
It was Air Pacific which is a subsidiary of Qantas. I thought, Qantas, cool, nice airline. Little did I know Air Pacific used stripped down versions of the 747 for all the poor Fijiians to be able to afford to fly .

D00d that cabin is awesome!! It looks like the only way for me to get a British Airways 777 to London is from Toronto. As far as I can tell they only fly 767s from Detroit to London now.

Ack, just checked and there's no way for me to take an American 777 to London currently. They only fly them out of Chicago and New York.

Heathrow isn't really that close to Paddington. The Heathrow Express train takes about 15 minutes. But the catch is with many airlines (though British Airways has the majority of the desks) you can literally check-in, get your boarding passes, and check your luggage at Paddington. It's very nice not having to move any luggage around the airport or wait in any lines there (other than security).

If you fly to Bhutan (on Druk Air since that's the only airline that goes there) make sure you go First Class. The steerage class is crowded in the extreme! First Class isn't much more expensive and it's reasonably comy. Make sure you get window seats..the Himalayas are gorgeous and the captain will point out the peaks as the plane flies by them. Landing at paro is a blast!!!!
