Question for international shipping gurus

According to Canada Post it's in the US.

2010/06/22 11:00 International shipment has arrived in the destination country
2010/06/21 09:03 International item has left Canada
2010/06/20 11:31 RICHMOND Item processed at postal facility
2010/06/17 14:58 SASKATOON Item accepted at the Post Office
2010/06/16 06:25 MISSISSAUGA An order has been electronically submitted

I go to the USPS and input the tracking number and get this message, it's been that way since 6/22.

Class: Priority Mail International Parcels
Service(s): International Parcels
Status: Origin Post is Preparing Shipment

We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece.

Detailed Results:

Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
Foreign International Dispatch, June 21, 2010, 9:03 am, VANCOUVER-B, CANADA
Foreign Acceptance, June 16, 2010, 6:25 am, CANADA

Does that mean the package is being detained by US customs?

Check with USPS website on how much detail / when they will update info for the Tracking No. for that class or service. So far they acknowledge that the foreign service (Canada Post) sent it to USPS, no further info. I know that SOME USPS package services will tell you they have received the package to deliver, and then will tell you nothing until it HAS been delivered. (Often that last update is entered in the system at the END of the day on which delivery is accomplished, so you don't see it until the day after you get the package!)
