Sometimes my monitor makes me nuts.I have a mitsubishi diamond plus 70,17" .25 AG monitor for about 2 1/2 years now.The image since new has never been totally rock solid when viewing complex, multicolored images such as impressionist paintings at 32 bit color. However under normal viewing of text or web pages etc it really never bothered me and I attributed this to close proximity to power lines outside(15 to 20 feet away) coming from the pole into the building. But lately it bothers me sometimes and I'm wondering if the monitor is starting to deteriorate or else my eyes have changed. What I'm seeing is an unsteadiness, not perfectly cyclical, but rather like what you see thru the viewfinder of a video camera when handheld. It isn't extreme but can be noticeable. Also I just noticed that in total darkness on a white or gray screen ,there is a pulsation in brightness(a little noticeable)at a rate of just about 1hZ or less. I'm running at 1024x768 @ 85 hz.Video card is ati xpert 128 .Also sometimes vertical and horizontal lines will get a "bow" or stretched out "s" shaped bow that the geometry controls won't totally fix.I know you have to be gagging by now reading this ,but any relevant input would be appreciated.BY and large I've been quite happy with the beautiful picture and colors of this thing and hope there is a cheap fix. Thanks for listening. helicon
