QUestion for those who own the Gainward GF4 Ti4200 Golden Samples..

What have u guys OC'd up to??

I have yet to setup a better cooling system for my card. Although as you might now in a Maximum PC article they constucted a rig and were able to overclock the Gainward GF4 Ti4200 up to a 315MHz core and a 280MHz memory speed without extra cooling.

And by the way is there any pogram or whatnot that will monitor this cards temps?
And also does anyone know a good way of removing the RAM heatsinks?

umm my core is at 257 and my memory is at 500 <--which is the enhanced mode

I was getting the frequent "white checkerboard of death" that is similar to what you are referring to. FYI, I got my Gainward GF4 back in August, but didn't realize that the checkboard problem was due to a defective GF4. I called Newegg and was suprised when I got an RMA number within 5 minutes and no questions asked.

My new Gainward GF4 is on its way back as I type this....

If you are having problems with yours, I certainly recommend you get a new card. FYI, I called the Gainward USA office and they too offerred to RMA it, but in the end I decided to go with the Newegg RMA.

Holy crap! My 4200 is barely making it at 300/600

My 128mb version Ultra 650/XP runs all day at 300/580, but so foar, higher speed get me no extra FPS. I have tested it at 317/589 for thirty minutes in a closed loop UT2003 demo, with no problems. I wonder though if the FSB being so high (153FSB on a KT266A), might affect the FPS adversely.
