Hello all,
I want to install Win2k adv. serv. with AD into a test environment, that is on it's own VLAN (not isolated). The DNS servers are not dynamic, so I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on the route I plan to take.
I was going to create a sub-zone (is this the correct term?), called win2k.primarydnszone.com and have that zone forward any request it can't handle to the company's DNS servers. I am not 100% sure on the specifics on how to create it, and the pros/cons, which is something I could also use some advice on.
I also plan on installing Exchange 2k into this environment. We already have an exchange resource domain. What are the shortcomings to having an OU instead of a domain for this resource domain?
Thank you all very much for your time!
