Question Regarding Asurion Verizon iPhone replacement.

Hey guys. I'm getting a replacement Verizon iPhone 6s+ from Asurion in a day or two. I originally bought it to try out iphone and I've decided it's not for me. Am I able to directly gift this to a friend of mine? He might use it with At&t or take it back home to Europe to use. Do I need to open up the phone and activate on verizon first or can I just give it to him as a gift and let him open it up himself? Thanks!

In my experience I have been able to just hand off the phone to other users and even other carrier users. I manage my companies VZW business plan and have not had an issue yet. The phones are refurbs anyway and Asurion is really bad at it IMO.

yea just make sure you test everything. They sent some shitty phones to us on occasion (corporate verizon) when replaced. Also since it's a 6S+ it should have factory apple warranty. If you notice any issues, just take it to apple and they normally replace it without issues.
