I will hopefully soon be getting a Laptop.

Basicly my computer in my room is on 24/7, so if i get a wireless card and bridge that (in network connections) to my LAN connection (coming from a router - Broadband Internet) i shall be able to get on the internet wirelessly via the laptop?

This will mean i shall be able to sit anywhere in my room and get on the net... that is really the only reason i am asking this (yeah i am just lazy!)

Am i right or wrong?

Get a wireless router. They can be found for $30 or less.

Yes, that should work to bridge the connection, but like amdskip said, it might be better just to get an access point. Using Infrastructure mode is much more reliable and has more features than using 'peer-to-peer' ad-hoc networking.
