Questions Questions about computers these days?

yeah yeah yeah i got questions,

1) i been reading some of the Rigs you guys (and girls) have out there and they are confusing.
Like some rigs i have seen are a PC3200 boards and you guys put PC3500 memory in them, how?

2) what is Registered memory compared to Unregistered memory, they both have lifetime warranty so what is the difference?

3) can i put in this motherboard Asus K8V SE Deluxe with an AMD Athlon 64 3400+, this memory PC3200 to PC4400???

4) what wattage power supply should i put with a system with that m/b and processor?

5) and cause you guys are building more than i have what are good hard drives for this board (gamer wise) using the SATA??

OH here is another one

6) what is a good soundcard, cause some of you have been saying that Creative Labs sucks so tell me what are good soundcards, or should i just use the one that comes in the m/b.

1.) pc3200 and 3500 are just ram speeds. You can put whatever speed memory in your pc you want. PC3500 is very useful for people who go over 200mhz fsb when overclocking.

2.) Registered memory is also known as ECC. Most personal computers do not use ECC. ECC means error correcting and is mostly for servers. Don't buy it if you don't need it.

3.) Like I said, you can put whatever speed memory in your motherboard that you want. But high quality 3200 is better than low quality pc4400. Besides, I doubt you will ever get to a bus speed that needs pc4400.

4.) Most people recommend 350W or higher. I would just recommend a good brand. Antec. Enermax, etc.

5.) Almost all serial ata drives are the same. Many people like the seagate serial ata drives, they are quiet, fast, and are the only ones with native serial ata controllers on board.

6.) Depending on what you listen to, onboard can be just fine. Creative makes a great sound card, many people are just having problems with the extra software screwing things up. I never use the extra software so my creative card works great. (their extra software really does blow, onesource, horrible)
