questions with Epox 8K7A+

I am thinking to build a Thundebird 1.4 GHz on an Epox 8k7A+, I wonder if I need to buy a video card for some basic software applications and photo editing? If so, are there some good ones for Linux?

Yes, you will have to buy a video card.

I'd recommend the Voodoo3 series for Linux. Great performers, support from the start.

a voodoo 3, are you serious? Such a card is not sold anymore since 1 year, it's 2 generations back, how can you recommend this?

Because I've used it with Red Hat Linux and it's supported right away. During the setup options for Linux, it's detected immediately. Also, Voodoos have great 2D as well for his graphics.

That's why I recommended it.

EDIT: Also, you can buy them for dirt cheap. Just look around or post in the FS/FT forums.
