Quick Domain Name Question

If you have been indexed by search engines at www.yoursite.com while with a certain host, will you loose you index by changing webhosts? Does that matter, or is it strictly domain names that they go by?


In other words if you have a certain pagerank - is that affected by changing webhosts?

i assume that the search engine would have no need to use your ip in their stats. So if you keep the same domain, everything should stay the same

There should be no problem by changing webhosts. Indexing is based on domain name. Changing the ip address of your domain name doesn't matter either
