Quick dual monitor question

I just got a 7800GT and a 19" LCD and thought I'd play around with the CRT as my 2nd monitor. What I was wondering is there anyway to get a complete taskbar on both displays?

I'd like to have differnet desktops but with the same taskbar and start menu.

yes, but both of the monitors have to be at the same res i think than it works probably if you move your mouse down on your crt guessing your 2nd display you can see the task bar.

I think you need third-party software for that. The name escapes me at the moment but I think it's called UltraMon.

Or, perhaps there's some way to do that with the Microsoft virtual desktop powertoy.

I do have a taskbar at the bottom (no start button) and I have downloaded UltraMon but I still can't seem to find a way to get a start button on the 2nd display. At the moment I find it very annoying to have to right click on everything and send it over to the 2nd monitor.

no, i dont think you can get two start menu's its one for the whole screen dual monitors is just a higher res its stretched all the way between the two monitors its not like two computers.

I think theres utilities(perhaps even on nVidia's website) that'll let you set default monitors where specific programs need to launch on.

I guess I'll keep looking around but I am finding it rather stupid that you can have 2+ monitors, each one running at a differnet res and yet the most you can get on the 2nd screen is a simple taskbar that has no start button.

just use the nvidia menu and click for "clone screen" or something similar
