full sentence would help, but yes, it seems grammatically sound.

'i've found six inches of pole to be quite useful in both my career and my personal life.'

second my is optional, but i think it sounds better. maybe it's just me.

Grammatically correct, but I have doubts about how worthy the rest of the sentence might be. Is this for a resume?

I'd rather not write everything here because i don't want them finding full sentences of what i wrote on the internet

What do you mean about how worthy the rest might be?

Better tighten down your tin foil hat and stay away from fluoridated water.

simply put, (s)he means that phrase is likely attached to a clause that might sound kind of dumb. or maybe it's just something that shouldn't be put on your resume.

why would someone be googling lines from part of your resume?

As Magnus says above...

If this is a resume or cover letter I'm wondering why you need to talk about your personal life.

It's a letter that i have to send for an exchange program and i have to say what i expect to get from the experience, so i think it is relevant

you could swap the nouns and verbs... if this is grammar we're talking about.

then you're probably fine. i still say it reads better with two 'my's.

This is more difficult than it seemed...I need to say that i am on the 2th semester of a course at a certain university, can anyone give me a hand on how i could say that? And yes in case you are wondering English is not my first language

You could say I'm currently taking the second semester / second half of a two-semester (subject) course at (university).

"I am currently in my second semester at Blank University, majoring in blank."

Replace "blank" with whatever is appropriate.

Hope that helps...

Edit: If you're only taking the one course, try this:

"I am currently in the second semester of the blank course at Blank University."
