Or you could just right click>properties on the "my computer" icon. Should tell you in the "general tab"

I tried these methods...still cant find it.

1. Properties in My Computer (this was my second attempt), not there, it says, INTEL CELERON

2. REBOOT (that was my first attempt before posting the Q), not there, shows INTEL CELERON again

3. dxdiag, not there, shows CELERON again

4. Hammer the Computer and get a new one, too cheap to do that.

5. download WCPUID and run it, WORKED! but should i look at the internal clock speed? it says it has 398.8MHZ internal clock speed. help on this one?

thanks.

He has Win98SE. I wouldn't be surprised if he rebooted between the time I posted and you posted.

No, you have to multiply this number by the FSB, which on these Celerons was probably 66MHz, which gives you...

26320. Which is a 26GHz computer. Congratulations.

At least, this is the number you can use when you sell it on e-bay.

WTF are you talking about? That IS the FSB multiplied by the unit multiplier.
